Telecom Technical Skills Digital Badges are a quick way to acquire telecom skills and build credit toward earning a degree. As a NACTEL Badging student you can choose to earn one or more Badges. To qualify for a Badge you must:

Level 1 Badge: Telecom Essentials
This badge (8 Credits) is designed to provide you with entry-level knowledge of the telecommunications industry. This badge is required to move on to Level 2 or 3 badges. You may apply for this badge after completing the required courses regardless of whether or not you choose to continue on and earn your Associate of Science in Applied Information Technology Degree.
Level 2 Badge: Telecom Core
This badge (12 credits) is designed to provide you with basic knowledge of the electronics needed for a complete understanding of the telecommunications industry. You may apply for this badge after completing the required courses regardless of whether or not you choose to continue on and earn your Associate of Science in Applied Information Technology, Telecommunications Degree.
Level 2 Badge: IT Skills
This badge (6 credits) introduces students to intermediate concepts and applications that provide production level skills for the workplace. This six credit intermediate badge supports the skills needs for more advanced badges.
Level 2 Badge: IT Core
This badge (8 credits) introduces students to the core IT skills (8 credits) needed to work with intermediate networking and security systems. Upon completing this badge, the student can compete for intermediate positions in the networking and security field.
Level 3 Badge: Networking Technologies
This badge (11 credits) provides advance study of networking concepts, including math, computing, communication, and software designed networking and cloud computing and advanced security. Upon completing this badge, the student can compete for entry-level technical positions.
Requires IT Core and Telecom Core Badge
Level 3: Telecom Technologies
This badge (16 credits) introduces students to intermediate concepts and applications of Mobile technologies. This is an intermediate badge program and the Telecom Core Badge has to be completed prior to taking this badge.
Requires Telecom Core Badge.
The credits earned in the Telecom Technologies Badge can be applied to the BS Degree in Telecom
Level 3 Badge: Data Analytics
This badge (11 credits) introduces the students to intermediate data analytics concepts, including python programming, database, statistical analyses. Upon completing this badge, the student can compete for intermediate and advanced positions in the telecommunications industry.
