Federal Student Aid
Since Pace University is an accredited college, eligible student may use federal student loans and Pell grants. The free application for federal student aid (FAFSA) is available on October 1st for academic year starting the following fall. Submit your FAFSA at least 60 days prior your planned start term to ensure your financial aid is offered in a timely manner. It is suggested that you use the IRS data retrieval tool, if possible, when entering your FAFSA.
Be sure to include Pace University’s school code (002792 ) when you submit your FAFSA in order to avoid delays in processing of your aid. You must be registered for six or more credits to be eligible for a federal student loan.
You need to be accepted before we can review your financial aid eligibility. If you have questions or concerns about financial aid process, please go to Pace’s financial aid website.
Financial Aid for Transfer Students
If you have transferred to Pace from another institution please be aware that you can not receive financial aid at two different institutions at the same time. It is recommended that you review the National Student Loan Database (NSDL) to determine the total amount you have taken in student loans as that will affect your future financial aid.
If you have loans in deferment, you will want to ensure that they remain in deferment. Pace participates in the National Student Clearinghouse and your enrollment records are updated periodically throughout the semester after the drop/add period.
Planning for the Start of the Semester
Pace does not offer book vouchers for students receiving financial aid. Students who have an excess of financial aid after it has been applied to the semester, will receive a refund. This refund may be used for other educational expenses, including books and special equipment. Please note, however, the excess aid refunds will not be available until after the semester has begun, and you are responsible for purchasing materials before classes start so your course participation is not delayed.
To facilitate the refunds, accepted students will receive a BankMobile envelope in the mail that contains a Refund Selection Kit, including a personal code. Students should log onto www.refundselection.com or www.bankmobilevibe.com and choose a preferred method for receiving excess funds.
